Hartman raises the bar for the Irish

Even for experienced upperclassmen quarterbacks, spring games can be shaky. Shaking off the rust, adjusting to mixed teams and, especially for Hartman, learning a completely new system often lead to up-and-down spring games. That didn’t happen to Sam.

13 of 16 passing for 189 yards, 2 passing TDs and one rush is a very clean stat line. Genuinely cooler than I expected going into the game with high expectations for Sam. That stood out to me and should continue to rise when the team rejoins in August and has a full slate of first-string linemen and receivers.
