PREVIEW: The Crimson Hawks open the 2023 NCAA Atlantic Regional on Monday

INDIANA, Pa. – The Crimson Hawks were named the No. 2 seed in the Atlantic Region, giving them hosting rights in the 2023 NCAA DII Atlantic Regional Tournament 1-2. May.

Due to inclement weather, matches have been moved indoors at the Greensburg Racquet Club in Greensburg, PA and the Oxford Club of Wexford in Wexford, PA. IUP opens the tournament on May 1 at 12:30 PM against Shaw.

IUP enters the tournament 12-9 overall and 6-0 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. The Crimson Hawks won the tournament championship last weekend over Slippery Rock, making it the third straight year the Hawks have won the conference crown.

>> IUP will host a portion of the Atlantic Region Tournament as this year’s No. 2 seed. The Crimson Hawks will face seventh-seeded Shaw, while the three- and six-seeds will follow the May 1 matchup between Slippery Rock and Fairmont State.
>> Charleston (W.Va.) is the top seed in the Atlantic region and will host a condensed version of the MEC tournament, facing the winner of West Liberty and West Virginia State.
