Burnt Hills/Ballston Spa hockey player The Dubuque Fighting Saints selected Tommy Bleyl in the eighth round of the American Hockey League draft on Tuesday.
Bleyl, who was the 113th overall pick, had 26 goals and 19 assists. Burnt Hills/Ballston Spa this season. He also played at Connecticut Mid Fairfield Jr. Rangers.
The Fighting Saints are coached by former RPI hockey player Kirk MacDonald.
Phase II of the draft is Tuesday. Union hockey paintman TJ Veney has the potential to be selected.
