Jaren Jackson Jr. is the Kia Defensive Player of the Year for the 2022-23 season.
NEW YORK – The NBA has announced this week’s awards schedule The NBA All-Defensive Team will be revealed on Tuesday at 2 PM ET.
This season’s primary individual defender award went to Memphis center Jaren Jackson Jr., who was named the Kia Defensive Player of the Year for the 2022-23 season. Jackson Jr. beat out two other DPOY finalists, Milwaukee’s Brook Lopez and Cleveland’s Evan Mobley.
On Tuesday, the NBA will announce five players on each of the All-Defensive First, Second and Third teams.
