Romagnano and LeSage named to CSC Academic All-District Women’s Tennis Team

WALTHAM, Mess. – Senior Makena Romagnano (New Albany, Ohio/New Albany) and junior Remi LeSage (Sarasota, Fla./IMG) was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Women’s Tennis Team division.

The 2023 Academic All-District® Women’s Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined achievements on the court and in the classroom. Student-athletes are recognized in four divisions, NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Academic All-District® honorees advance to CSC Academic All-America® voting. First, second and third team Academic All-America® awards will be announced on June 1.

Romagnano is a three-year team captain and the team’s No. 1 player the past two seasons.

He was a double major in marketing and earth, environment and global sustainability. He earned the NE10 Academic Excellence Award for the spring semester of 2022 with a 4.0 GPA.

Romagnano is also heavily involved in campus activities, serving as Bentley’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Chair in 2022-23.

LeSage led Bentley in singles wins this season and is majoring in computer information systems. He has earned NE10 academic recognition for five consecutive semesters and was an ITA Scholar-Athlete in 2021.
