TROY, NY – The 2022-23 Academic All-District Men’s and Women’s Tennis Teams as selected by College Sports Communicators have been announced and four Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) student-athletes have been honored. The program recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined achievements on the field and in the classroom thanks to four divisions – NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Two have been selected from the men’s team and two from the women’s team. Each of the honorees is a multiple Dean’s Honor List and Liberty League All-Academic selection. All of them are now eligible for the national Academic All-America program.

The men’s team went 14-7, including the Liberty League title. Well. 33 The Engineers won an NCAA first-round game before losing in the second round. Drover-Mattinen’s season isn’t over yet, as she was selected to compete at the NCAA Championships as an individual.
RPI’s women’s team, ranked No. 34 in the nation, played in the semifinals of the Liberty League Tournament en route to tying the school record for wins in a 14-season (14-5).
