307 Tennis Club helps the sport of Pickleball grow

CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) – The 307 Tennis Club in Casper was supposed to be the attraction for the 48-48-48 Guinness World Record Pickle Ball Challenge today, but Mother Nature had other plans.

It will be later now, but 307 Tennis Club owner and Director of Tennis Eric Nokes kept the club open for people who wanted to come down and play salt ball.

Because it’s one of the fastest growing sports, Nokes started the club’s saltball program last fall. He said: “The interest is slowly growing, as I think everywhere, pickleball is becoming hugely popular. It’s great, it’s fun to play, anyone can come out and explore it and it starts to find players quite quickly.

People who are club members have the option to join leagues to get competitive games or book court times to play with a group.

If you’re not a member, you can still come down and book a class or join a class if you’re looking for a great way to get into the sport.

Nokes said that all of our teaching-based stuff, we also have two pickleball teachers, and then me and my assistant for tennis, and everything that we run, where its teaching is based on lessons, learning to play, private stuff, it’s available to anybody.

They organize both pickle and tennis courses during the summer.
