Bartlesville High boys tennis wrapped up its season at 6A State over the weekend.
Bartlesville High had one doubles team spot. Well. 1 doubles Will Bolding and Owen May tied for eighth.
Three other qualified athletes did not place, but BHS still gained state experience with five of its six regular varsity players.
There was only one parent in Bartlesville. Jack Auschwitz at No. 1 singles finished his final year as a Bruin with a 19-9 record. Mark Shaw, Cade Winter and Bash White, along with Bolding and May will all return next season.
Most impressively, Bartlesville boys tennis was named the Academic State Champions on Saturday as the Bruins had a perfect 4.0 GPA.
