Four women’s lacrosse earn IWLCA All-Boardwalk Region honors – Scranton Athletics

Four members of the University of Scranton women’s lacrosse team received All-Boardwalk Region honors from the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches’ Association (IWLCA), the organization announced Wednesday afternoon.

Junior defender Grace Dabulas (Westfield, NJ / Westfield) and a sophomore forward Grace Lane (Long Beach, NY / Sacred Heart Academy) earned first-team honors, while the sophomore goaltender Lauren Boldis (Merrick, NY / Sanford H. Calhoun) and junior midfielder Devyn Tanajewski (ingwood, NJ / Lakeland Regional) was selected for the second team.

This is the second consecutive all-region selection for Dabulas.

All four of the region’s awardees are also tied for the second most in a single season in program history, tied with 2013.

Each of the four members also received All-Landmark Conference honors earlier this month.

Dabulas started 19 of the 20 games he played on defense for the Royals, collecting 40 ground balls, 37 draws and 29 RBIs. He finished in the top three on the team in all three categories and tied a career-high nine on April 25 at Cabrini.

For Lane, he started all 20 games as a forward and finished third in the conference in points (83) and tied for third in goals (65). The 65 goals are the fifth-best single-season total in program history and the most by any Scranton player since 2005, while his 83 points are the eighth-most in a single season. In his 20 games this season, Lane scored multiple goals 16 different times and scored four or more goals on eight occasions.

Boldis started all 20 games in goal for the Royals and led the Landmark Conference in saves (176) while ranking second in save percentage (54.3%) and third in goals-against average (8.70). He made 21 total saves in two postseason wins over Moravian and Catholic as the Royals won the program’s first landmark title.

Tanajewski started all 20 games as a midfielder and scored 40 points with 27 goals and 13 assists along with 38 ground balls, 44 draws and 24 turnovers. The Ringwood, NJ, native scored multiple goals seven different times and led the team with his 44 draws.
