VICTORIA — Well. No. 3 seed Holy Family Catholic cruised to a 5-2 victory over No. 6 seed Blue Earth Area in the quarterfinals of Section 2A team tennis Thursday in Victoria.
Brady Lorenz won No. 3 singles 6-3, 6-2 for BEA over Hayden Holcomb, while Jamie Johnson defeated Owen Collins at No. 2 singles 7-6 (9-7), 6-4.
Michael Frost won in straight sets, 6-1, over Joe Frundt at HFC’s No. 1 singles, while Michael Lizak topped BEA’s Devin Haase at No. 4 singles, 5-7, 6-4 (10-7).
Tommy Agerland and Joe Charpentier team up at No. 1 to double BEA’s Ryder Dutton and Mitchell Stevermer 6-1, 6-3.
HFC’s Brady Nelson and Cooper Strezo defeated Seth Mathews and Gustavo Chavero at second doubles 6-3, 6-0.
Henry Lisko and Philip Olson completed HFC’s doubles sweep with a 6-3, 6-1 loss to Blaine Grack and Noah Hanson at No. 3 in the lineup.
Blue Earth Area will compete in the Section 2A Individual Meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter.
