Canyon Crest Academy, which beat the Bishops 10-8 in the San Diego Section championship, lost a hard-fought 4-3 quarterfinal game to Irvine Woodbridge.
We played really well against a very talented team, said Canyon Crest coach Kevin Brown. There were a lot of three-set matches.
I am really proud of our children. They played really well, really hard. We didn’t lose this match, we got a good team win.
The difference is huge.
