The International Criminal Court has brought seven charges against Thomas, which include allegations of trying to fix the outcome of matches and obstructing investigations by distorting or destroying evidence.
Four of the charges are related to matches in Lanka Premier league Twenty20 tournament held in Sri Lanka in 2021. 33-year-old Devon Thomas has been given 14 days from Tuesday to respond to the charges, according to the Dubai-headquartered ICC.
Although Thomas has played 21 one-day internationals, his last appearance was a decade ago. He has participated in 12 T20Is for West Indies between 2009 and 2022. He made his only Test appearance against Australia in December.
