Neymar is reportedly in talks over a sensational move to Manchester United this year, which would see him join a host of Brazilian stars including Casemiro.
Neymar has been linked with a shock move to Manchester United, with the Paris Saint-Germain superstar already hailing the impact of Casemiro, his Brazil team-mate.
Casemiro joined United last summer in a £70m deal to cap a trophy-laden nine years at Real Madrid – where he won five Champions League crowns at the foot of midfield alongside Toni Kroos and Luka Modric. The trio formed a formidable partnership that largely dominated Europe.
The Brazilian’s arrival has helped transform Erik ten Hag’s squad this season. He has added balance, control and structure to a team that was in dire need of such qualities. He can consider himself unfortunate not to be nominated for Premier League Player of the Year.
Casemiro is not the only Brazilian at Old Trafford. His international teammates Fred and Anthony – who also joined last summer from Ajax – are also in Erik ten Hag’s squad. They have now been linked with Neymar’s sensational move.
Mirror Football reports exclusively that Neymar could leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer after six seasons at the club. United are not believed to be considering adding the striker to their ranks, although reports have claimed talks have opened.
The Premier League is Neymar’s only realistic escape route from the Parc des Princes this summer, with United one of the few clubs who could finance an approach. If it ever came to pass, Neymar has already made his feelings clear about Casemiro.

During the World Cup, Casemiro played a key role in his nation’s group stage victory over Switzerland, striking late on to secure a hard-fought but deserved win for Tite’s side. This victory was achieved without Neymar, who was ruled out due to injury.
The Paris Saint-Germain star took to Twitter after his country’s win to pay tribute to his international team-mate: “Casemiro has long been the best midfielder in the world.”
United is currently in a state of flux, and there is deep uncertainty about the club’s ownership situation. The Glazer family has continuously postponed the deadline for completing the sale of the club. The ownership situation at Old Trafford remains unclear, although they were set to listen to offers – both majority and minority stakes – more than six months ago.
The third and final bid deadline came earlier this month, when a group led by Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim took a bid for INEOS, led by Britain’s richest man, Sir Jim Ratcliffe. Still, the Glazers remain at the helm and could still dictate the club’s transfer business.
