What to look for in a tennis racket
Structure: For beginners, you should choose a larger head that produces more power when working on your swing. For intermediate and advanced players, look for a smaller head size for more control. Likewise, a lighter racket will give you more power as a new player, while a heavier racket (for intermediate and advanced players) will add more power. And new players, look for a denser spring bed for more control.
Handle: There are three to four handle sizes to choose from in most of the mallets. Racket grip sizes are measured from 0-5, with most men choosing a grip size around 4 3/8. A smaller grip size will produce more wheels, but if you’re not sure which grip size to choose, go with the smaller size. You can always add overload to the handle as your strength and skill increase.
