Wright will be named to the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – For the second time in as many years, the legendary Villanova men’s basketball head coach will be inducted into the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame.

After Rollie Massimino took over as manager of Villanova’s 1985 NCAA National Championship Wildcats last November, his former assistant Jay Wright will be taking over this year. Wright stepped down as coach in April 2022 after a remarkable 21-season performance that included four NCAA Final Four appearances and a pair of NCAA championships (2016 and 2018).

The induction ceremony will be held on Thursday, November 2 at the Live Casino and Hotel Philadelphia. Information about tickets can be found atwww.philadelphiasportshalloffame.org
