All-star Fantasy Premier League Dream Team

After an incredible debut season, Erling Haaland has made the FPL All-Star Dream Team, knocking out Robin van Persie.

Here’s a look at the highest scoring XI in Fantasy Premier League history.

Brad Friedel

187 points – 2002/03

The Americans’ mark of 187 points was set in the Fantasy Premier League’s first year and has yet to be beaten.

Friedel kept 15 clean sheets and saved two penalties in 2002/03, but arguably his best performance came in Gameweek 13 when he made 12 saves in Blackburn Rovers’ 1-1 draw at Southampton, helping him to nine points despite being conceded.

For those who bought him at a starting price of 5.0 million, he returned 37.4 points per million spent, making him the best Dream Team member of all time.

Andrew Robertson

213 points – 2018/19

The best ever season for a defender belongs to the Liverpool full-back. Robertson made 12 assists, kept 21 clean sheets and earned 29 bonus points in 2018/19.

He was particularly strong at home, with four of his five double-figure hauls coming at Anfield.

Trent Alexander-Arnold

210 points – 2019/2020

No defender has more assists in Fantasy than Alexander-Arnold, with 61. Three of those came in one game in 2019/20, when he scored a memorable 24 points away to Leicester City, adding a goal and a clean sheet. for good measure.

Alexander-Arnold is the only defender to have made five consecutive appearances in the end-of-season Dream Team, the first time in 2018/19.

Virgil van Dyke

208 points – 2018/19

The Dutchman completes the entire Liverpool backline thanks to his impressive 208 points.

In his best campaign, Van Dijk combined consistency with explosiveness as he notched 20 clean sheets and four double-figure hauls, including two goals and a 20-point return at home to Watford in Gameweek 28.

Mohamed Salah

303 points – 2017/18

Only player to score over 300 points in a season. The Egyptian is also the only player to score more than 200 points in six consecutive seasons, two more than anyone else.

The highlight of an outstanding debut year for Liverpool was his 29-point return against Watford, scoring four goals, providing an assist and claiming three maximum bonuses. One of 15 double-digit hits he made in his 36 outings.

Frank Lampard

284 points – 2009/10

The Chelsea midfielder has made the Dream Team at the end of the season seven times, a record he shares with Harry Kane. Lampard has scored two All-Star Dream Team-worthy scores: 284 points in 2009/10 and 269 in 2004/05.

He had his best season with 22 goals, 17 assists and 37 bonus points, including a 28-point haul against Aston Villa.

Cristiano Ronaldo

283 points – 2007/08

Fantasy managers had to wait until Gameweek 8 of the 2007/08 season for the Portuguese to score the first of his 31 goals, but patience was rewarded when he scored a then-record 283 points in a single campaign.

Ronaldo also collected seven assists and 35 bonus points, leading to a starting price of 14.0 million the following year.

Alexis Sanchez

264 points – 2016/17

In Chile’s excellent campaign in Fantasy, he collected 264 points thanks to 24 goals, 11 assists and 32 bonus points. He was particularly strong against weaker opponents, amassing 227 points against teams outside the top six.

Memorable moments included a 23-point comeback against West Ham United and a 27-point win in his two games in Double Gameweek 37, when he hit double figures against both Sunderland and Stoke.

Luis Suarez

295 points – 2013/14

The Uruguayan is the fifth Liverpool player to make a record 55 attacking contributions in 2013/14 thanks to 30 goals and 25 assists.

The career was made all the more remarkable by the fact that he missed the first five games while serving a suspension from the previous year. When he finally started, he scored 152 points and eight double-digit touchdowns in his first 12 games.

He averaged 8.9 points per game during the season, the best of any player on the all-star Dream Team.

Erling Haaland

272 points – 2022/23

The Norwegian set a new goalscoring record in his debut season, scoring 36 times, providing nine assists and earning 40 bonus points.

His ownership peaked at 85.5 percent in Gameweek 23, and he captained more than 200 million times.

Thierry Henry

271 points – 2002/03

Another member since Arsenal’s 2002/03 season, the French player has 47 offensive rebounds, the second-highest on record behind Luis Suarez’s 55.

Henry scored 24 goals, 23 assists and 42 bonuses, collecting 271 points. It was the first of four straight seasons in which he topped 200 points, which remains unmatched among forwards.
