Edina’s Matthew Fullerton defeated Hornets teammate Nolan Ranger 2-6, 6-3, 3-1 to capture his second straight Class 2A Boys’ State Tennis singles title Friday in Minneapolis.
Ranger injured his back during the match and had to retire in the third round.
The Blake School’s Kai Chen and Andrew Richardson defeated Mahtomed’s Jack Allaben and Brandon Pham to win the doubles title 4-6, 6-1, 6-4.
Rochester Lourdes senior Marjan Veldic won the Class 1A singles title with St. Paul Academy’s Leo Benson and Maik Nguyen for the Class 1A doubles title.
