Get ready to explore Alabama’s culinary delights, dive into an educational nature series, experience the thrill of an extreme gym, admire the spectacle of Gulf Coast fleets, and enjoy the beauty of coastal sunsets. Take part in a fun run and celebrate Father’s Day like never before. From Monday to Sunday, we promise a rollercoaster of experiences right from the heart of the Persian Gulf coast to the sandy beaches of the coast. So buckle up and gear up and mark your calendars as we guide you through a week full of adventure, culinary delights, entertainment and family fun.
Monday, June 12, 2023 – This week we start off with a little friendly competition at Zeke’s Restaurant where they are hosting the 8th.
Alabama Seafood Cook-off starting at 6 p.m. Four anonymously selected chef teams will participate in the event. The winner will receive bragging rights and the title of “Best Chef in State,” along with a $2,500 cash prize and a spot at the Great American Seafood Cook-Off in New Orleans. So head over to Zeke’s for an up-close look at “Alabama’s coastal culture and seafood industry” as they showcase their creative culinary skills and eat oysters to live music jams from 6-8:30 p.m.

Tuesday 13 June 2023 – Tacky Jacks Summer of Fun continues this week at Hand on Habitat from 11am. Orange Beach Wildlife Center has partnered with Tacky Jacks to bring you a hands-on educational nature series. Adults and children are encouraged to jump in and learn about our diverse ecosystem while interacting with the various animals that live here on the island with us. The event is free, but pre-registration is required. Family experiences for all ages 11:00-12:00 arrive 15 minutes early and remember to check in downstairs at Jacks Bar.

Wednesday, June 14, 2023 – The Gulf Shores Factory is just the place to take a break from the sun or get some energy for a rainy day. This complex gym offers a half price experience day every Wednesday. Take it to extremes on rock walls over 30 feet high and test your skills on the Adrenaline Tower, Slide and Sky Scraper Steps. Customers can choose either a climbing and jumping combination package or both. Throw yourself on a rope swing or perfect your ninja skills as a track master in an intense obstacle challenge. Extreme continues with 15,000 square feet of trampoline height or dunks. Rather, take it a little slow and light, because the Arcade is just the place to be with games, batting cages, a flight simulator and ice cream machines. Reservations are required to maintain a secure space. Special events are also welcome in the banquet facilities for additional purchase.

Thursday, June 15, 2023 – Secure your spot early on the sands of Alabama Point Beach to watch the Gulf Coast’s elite fleets cruise through Orange Beach Pass. Mobile Big Game Fishing Club’s Gulf Coast Masters is here this week. On Thursday morning you can watch the magnificent Viking yachts as they flow through The Pass in Orange Beach. They line up next to the farewell buoy waiting for the 10:00 am Shotgun Start to begin their journey to try and reel in the winning fish. The events surrounding this tournament will be held at the Orange Beach Marina and are as follows: Friday the 16th is the first weigh-in from 6-8pm at the Clubhouse. On Saturday, the 17-second weigh-in is at the Clubhouse from 16:00 to 21:00, and on Sunday at 18:00 the award ceremony will be held at 9:00 at Fishers restaurant. Don’t miss the opportunity to see the beauty of the deployed fleet and stop by the marina for events throughout the week.

Friday, June 16, 2023 – A trip to the coast will leave you in awe of cotton candy sunsets. Spend an evening dining at OSO in Bear Point Harbor, where the colors glide over the water and melt over the boats and boats of the marina. This week, special musical guest High Cotton takes the stage for a little after-dinner boogie. Embark on an unforgettable local scene with good food, where you can take the coolest sunset photos right from the dining room table while breathing in the salty air and enjoying live southern rock treatment for your soul. Saturday June 17, 2023 – Run or Walk this Saturday for Lulu’s Hot Trot 5K Fun Run. Proceeds from this fun event hosted by Robertsdale Rotary benefit ARC-Baldwin County. The 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Fun Mile will conclude with a party at Lulu’s with activities, food, games and music. Take off your shoes and enjoy a little sand between your toes while you enjoy a cold refreshing drink and always replenish your energy with fresh food from Lulu’s kitchen. Prices range from $15 to $25 depending on your registration date, plan to arrive early, come hungry and leave full.

Sunday, June 18, 2023 – It’s Father’s Day, and OWA in Foley has a whole day to celebrate Dad. OWA Island’s Lawn Games start at noon and continue until 4 p.m. Games include Corn hole, Giant Connect 4, Yard Pong, Ladder Ball, Jumbo Checkers, Giant Jenga and Table Tennis. Encourage a little friendly dad competition as you head to the safe and inflatable Ax Throwing, which the kids can enjoy too. From 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, cool off with Water Balloon Wars, where you grab your bucket, take up your battle station, and prepare to take on your chosen opponent using a water balloon launcher. Take away a memorable keepsake with a print or for dad from an OWA caricature artist placed next to the patchwork. This event is free for families and designed for those priceless moments.
