Tennis star Nick Kyrgios promises to coach movie star Ben Stiller in a hilarious Twitter exchange

Australian star Nick Kyrgios has hinted that he could soon put down his tennis racket and take up coaching.

Kyrgios cited the knee injury he sustained during the robbery as he pulled out of this year’s French Open. The 28-year-old has not competed at Roland Garros since 2017.

However, he recently revealed on Twitter that he is “thinking about coaching.” Shortly after, Kyrgios asked: “Any takers?” A-List movie star Ben Stiller entered the conversation.

“I’m open to it, but I should know you’re serious,” Stiller replied.

From there began a fascinating back-and-forth between the Wimbledon finalists.

“Let’s do it, I’m in. What do you think?” Kyrgios said. Stiller then joked about trying to figure out who would coach who.

Kyrgios then shared an interesting idea. “I coach you to get you into a professional tournament. Then you coach me to get you into a movie.”

This is not the first time Kyrgios and Stiller have met. Last year, the Hollywood star participated in the match between Kyrgios and Rafael Nadal in California.

At one point during the match, Kyrgios’ frustration with the fans in the stands spilled over. But one fan in particular, who happened to be sitting near Stiller, really seemed to get under Kyrgios’ skin.

During the third set of the match, Kyrgios spoke directly to a fan and asked, “Are you good at tennis?”

Kyrgios then pointed to Stiller and said: “Exactly, so don’t tell me how to play. Do I tell him how to play?”

Many of the viewers then started laughing at the strange interaction.

Although he was unable to attend this year’s Grand Slam in Paris, Kyrgios apparently followed the matches. He recently put the emphasis on fans screaming.

“Around the world, whether it’s people chanting your name, idolizing you, getting booed, it’s always going to be a factor in sport,” Kyrgios wrote earlier this month.
