Jordan Named Freshman All-American – Mississippi State

STARKVILLE Mississippi State outfielder Dakota Jordan He has been named a second-team Freshman All-American by Perfect Game on Thursday (June 15).

Jordan is one of seven SEC freshmen to earn All-America honors from Perfect Game, marking the eighth consecutive season for a Mississippi State freshman to earn All-America honors.

In his first season in Starkville, Jordan finished the year hitting .307, second best on the team. He had 47 hits – 20 of which went for extra points – 10 home runs, nine doubles and a triple. He drove the third most laps on the team with 40.

Jordan made 34 starts in left field, four in center field and three at designated hitter. During Southeastern Conference play this season, Jordan hit .333 and hit eight of his 10 homers. Jordan was also the 13th Dawg to earn a spot on the SEC All-Freshman Team.

After Super Bulldog Weekend, where Jordan grabbed the game-winning touchdown against rival Ole Miss, he was named Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week. On May 22, Jordan was named to the Freshman All-SEC Team.
