LOS ANGELES The LMU women’s basketball team has rounded out its roster with the addition of its last and final Lion. Daylee Dunn will join the team in the upcoming 2023-2024 season.

“We are excited to add Daylee to our program,” says the coach Aarika Hughes.

Dunn is a 5’10 transfer guard from Fresno State University. After playing for the Bulldogs, Dunn played in 64 games and started five. Dunn totaled 40 rebounds, 17 assists, 14 steals and 117 points. In his freshman year, he scored a season-high six points in a comeback win against the Missouri Tigers in the WNIT. In the 2021–22 season, he played in all 29 games and averaged 18.1 minutes per game. On the defensive end, Dunn secured 31 rebounds and blocked nine shots. In his junior year, he played a total of 215 minutes and finished the season with 34 points.

“His electric energy is infectious both on and off the field,” says Hughes. “His deep range allows us to order the floor at all times. He prides himself on being relentless on the defensive end.”

While at Fresno State, Dunn was also a member of the Bulldogs’ track and field team. A native of San Ramon, California, Dunn completed his high school education at Salesian Prep High School. Averaging eight points per game, he played a key role in leading his team to the California Division I Finals.

Next season will be an exciting year for the LMU women’s basketball team with the addition of new Lions. The schedule and ticket information for the 2023-24 season will be released at a later date.
