On Friday, as part of the Muta municipality holiday, an outdoor table tennis table was officially opened in the Spodnja Muta sports park. It was opened by the Mayor of Muta Municipality, Angelca Mrak, and Dr. Miran Kondri from the Faculty of Physical Education in Ljubljana, in cooperation with the local table tennis club Xio Muta and the Spodnja Muta sports club as event organizers. event.

Table tennis is one of the most popular sports at Muta, as their women’s team was also the champion of Slovenia in 2016. Xiom Mutes production may not have been that successful recently, but they are very active in the club in all areas.

We set up a table tennis table for recreational use in the municipality of Muta. We believe that the table is a great asset to our place and that citizens want to use it. We wish everyone who uses it a lot of joy and success in playing, said Damjan Cvetko, chairman of NTK Xiom Muta, at the opening, who thanked the Slovenian Table Tennis Association, the municipality of Muta, D Spodnja Muta. .

We can only hope that other municipalities in Slovenia would follow the municipality of Muta and that this way table tennis would also gain more visibility.
