The Memphis Grizzlies have signed Derrick Rose

Memphis, Tenn. The Memphis Grizzlies announced today that they have signed the point guard Derrick Rose. According to team policy, the terms of the contract were not disclosed.

A 14-year NBA veteran, Rose (6-3, 200) has played in 699 regular season games (511 starts) and averaged 17.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists in 31, 0 in a minute. Cavaliers, Minnesota Timberwolves and Detroit Pistons. Last season, the 34-year-old scored 5.6 points in 12.5 minutes in 27 games for the Knicks.

Rose has also competed in 52 playoff games (44 starts) in eight postseason games, averaging 21.9 points, 4.3 rebounds and 6.3 assists in 37.7 minutes.

A native of Chicago, Rosen was selected by the Bulls with the first overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft out of the University of Memphis. He was named NBA Rookie of the Year in 2009 and NBA Most Valuable Player in 2011. Other career highlights include selection to the 2010-11 All-NBA First Team, three consecutive NBA All-Star appearances (2010, 2011 , 2012) and 2008-09 All-Rookie First Team honors.
