Several Indoor Football League players banned indefinitely, fan ejected after wild melee

In the last moments of the indoor soccer league, a fight broke out on Monday.

There were less than 60 seconds left in the game between the Massachusetts Pirates and the Arizona Rattlers when a melee broke out in the stands.

The Pirates trailed the Rattlers by nine points late in the game, but that’s when a series of shocking events began.

The Massachusetts Pirates defend in the stands

The Pirates defensive player was seen jumping into the area where the fans were seated, seemingly to confront the would-be assailant.

A little later, punches started to be thrown, and several other players made it into the stands.

It is unclear which players tried to escalate the fight and which may have tried to defuse the situation.

Five players and at least one fan were ejected from the stadium as a result of the fractures.

The woman was seen comforting the crying youth after the fight.

“I heard the Rattlers start saying, ‘Oh, he’s hot, so I looked over and saw him jump over,'” said a sideline reporter who was a member of the game’s broadcast team.

“There was a fan. He was in front of the fans. I don’t know what he said, but he jumped in there and didn’t even touch the wall.”

According to the Indoor Football League, Chris Ingram, Charles Williams, Leon ONEal Jr., Pirates coach Patrick Pass were suspended indefinitely.

“There’s no way you could ever go over a wall into the stands,” Indoor Football League Commissioner Todd Tryon said in a statement.

“This is a one-off incident that does not reflect what the IFL stands for. We are a family-friendly league that offers great sports entertainment and we will continue to build on that. A very exciting game was marred by the actions of a Few. These actions will never be tolerated and will be fully dealt with.”
