Four UC Santa Barbara men’s tennis student-athletes earn scholar-athlete recognition

TEMPE, Ariz. (July 10, 2023) – The UC Santa Barbara men’s tennis team had four student-athletes earn ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition. The ITA announced the honors Monday morning.

Kai Brady, Gianluca Brunkow, Phillip Jordan and Pablo Masjuan collected ITA Scholar-Athlete honors.

To be nominated as an ITA scholar-athlete, the student-athlete’s grade point average must be at least 3.5 for the academic year 2022-23.

The four individuals were among 893 student-athletes recognized for their academic achievements.

As a team, UC Santa Barbara had arguably the best season in program history. The Gauchos finished with a 22-4 record, their most wins in a season since going 28-12 in 1985. Their .846 winning percentage is the best in program history.
