MINNEAPOLIS On Tuesday morning, USA Hockey announced the list of 77 athletes who will participate in the 2023 USA Hockey Women’s Festival. The event will take place from 7 to 13. August and will serve as a pre-camp before the US Women’s National Team, US Under-18 Select Team and Collegiate Select Team are announced on Sunday, August 13.

Five current Gophers; Peyton Hemp, Madison Kaiser, Abbey Murphy, Skylar Vetter and Madeline Wethington joins six Minnesota alumni; Emily Brown, Taylor HayesAmanda Kessel, Kelly Pannek, Lee Stecklein and Grace Zumwinkle to complete the list of 11 Maroon and Gold representatives of the festival.

The 2023 festival will be held at the Herb Brooks Arena in Lake Placid, NY. The camp brings together the best U.S. women’s players from the U18 level to the national team and assists in the evaluation process for the 2023-24 U.S. Women’s National Team. to compete during the 2023-24 Rivalry Series in November and December and the selection process for the U18 & Collegiate Women’s Select teams in the U18 & Collegiate Series against Canada, which will be held on 16-19 August in Lake Placid.
