REPORT: Karlsson likely to be traded to pen or stick

[ad_1]

Are the San Jose Sharks close to Erik Karlsson?

Elliotte Friedman told NHL Network that he thinks the two teams are competing for Karlsson, whether or not there is a trade. It’s the same two teams that have been rumored for a week.

I think its Pittsburgh and Carolina, Friedman said. I think it’s a bit of a poker game.

Friedman explained: I think San Jose knows what Carolina is willing to do. I think they know what Pittsburgh is willing to do. I think both teams know what San Jose is willing to do.

Is anyone moving? Anyone moving? Is there a change in anyone’s position?

Friedman believes one of the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Carolina Hurricanes or the San Jose Sharks will yield. He pointed to the recent trade of Alex DeBrincat from the Ottawa Senators to the Detroit Red Wings as a model for the Karlsson trade.

I think this will come true. Most likely to one of these two teams, the insider estimated. I just think this is the situation right now where nobody is 100% happy [with the deal]. were not there. If we learned anything from DeBrincat, someone has to be willing to move to change the whole pulse and situation.

It looks like it will only take one phone call and Karlsson will no longer be with the San Jose Sharks.

So the questions will be, Friedman asked, who is willing to bend a little to make this happen?
