NBA 2K24 Summer League: Jordan Walsh anchors team effort in Celtics run

Jordan Walsh and Jay Scrubb helped lead the Celtics to victory Saturday in the NBA 2K24 Summer League in Las Vegas.

Vincent Valerio-Bodon scored 13 points to lead the Boston Celtics to a 94-77 victory over the Orlando Magic in the NBA 2K24 Summer League on Saturday at the Thomas and Mack Center.

The game got off to a competitive start with the Magic leading 20-16 after one, but the Celtics turned it around in the second stanza to take a nine-point lead into halftime. The Celtics kept the momentum going in the third and outscored the Magic 34-23 to build a 20-point advantage heading into the final quarter. The Magic fought back in the fourth, but it wasn’t nearly enough as the Celtics cruised to a 17-point victory.

Valerio-Bodon shot an efficient 4-8 from the field and collected six rebounds, three assists and a block to go along with his team-high Celtics 13 points. Jordan Walsh added 12 points, four rebounds and a steal, while Reggie Kissoonlal finished with 12 points, five rebounds, three steals and two blocks. Justin Bean and Kamar Baldwin each had 10 points.

Meanwhile, Robert Baker led the Magic with 15 points, 11 rebounds, two assists and a block in 24 minutes. Elijah Hughes had 13 points, five rebounds, two steals and an assist, while Quinndary Weatherspoon and Amauri Hardy each added 11 points.
