UMD has six new players on the team this season.
DULUTH, Minn. – In 82 days, the UMD men’s hockey team drops the puck at home and in the season opener against Michigan Tech.
And just over the weekend, the team released its roster for the upcoming season.
The Bulldogs have four freshmen suit up for the team. They are led by defenseman Aaron Pionk and forward Matthew Perkins, both selected in the NHL draft this offseason. Pionk went to the Wild and Perkins to the Canucks.
Other new faces include junior defenseman Luke Bast and graduated forward Connor McMenamin.
UMD returns 20 players who have seen action before.
