ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues Director of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today that the team has signed defenseman Jeremie Biakabutuka to a three-year, two-way entry-level contract.
Biakabutuka, 21, went undrafted and attended the Blues’ development camp this summer.
Biakabutuka made his professional debut last season, playing in three games with the Grand Rapids Griffins of the AHL and recording two penalty minutes.
The 6-foot-4, 203-pound defenseman also recorded 42 points (17 goals, 25 assists) in 56 games with the Charlottetown Islanders of the QMJHL. Overall, the Longueull, Quebec native totaled 118 points (40 goals, 78 assists) in 266 career QMJHL games spanning five seasons from 2018-2023.
