MILWAUKEE The Marquette University women’s lacrosse team has announced the addition of 11 newcomers for the 2023-24 academic year.

“We are so excited about this incoming class,” the head coach said Meredith Black. “All 11 have a huge impact on the growing success of our team from all positions on the field,” Black said.

The team includes student-athletes from seven different states, three from Colorado and two each from Illinois and Minnesota. The other four student-athletes join the Golden Eagles from California, Kentucky, Michigan and Virginia.

“All of our newcomers were integral to the success of their high school teams and we are eager to see them make an impact in the BIG EAST.”

In total, the class includes eight forwards/midfielders, two defenders and one goalkeeper.
