During his time on the QB Notre Dame football team, Ian Book became a star and was recently included in the exclusive Rookie Premiere category.
For nearly 30 years, the NFLPA has put together a Rookie Premiere class for first-year players starting the NFL, these players have been marked as the best-selling faces in the upcoming class, and in Notre Dame Football, only one incoming rookie was named in the 60-player category.
The Irish felt 14 players were helping the Irish at the College Football Playoff in the NFL, nine of whom were selected for the 2021 NFL Draft. The first from the table, Liam Eichenberg, landed in Miami and was followed by a few selections with later attacking bus driver Aaron Banks.
Team defender Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah was also selected in the second round and landed in stock for Cleveland Browns in 52nd place. Many thought he would have been a first-round choice and an easy choice for this collection of incoming stars, but he was left off the list.
Notre Dame football star named for NFLPA Rookie Premiere
In the case of the nine players selected in Notre Dame’s 2021 NFL Draft, only one player was invited 2021 Premiere of NFLPA newcomers class. This player was not even admitted on Day 1 or 2 because defender Ian Book was one of 60 honors.
The first quarterback to be taken on Day 3, Book landed in a perfect spot with the New Orleans Saints where he plans to dig a spot from the depth chart. The Saints are currently replacing the legend in Drew Brees, and given his size and skill level, there is no reason why the Book would not be able to rise steadily from the depth chart in Bayou.
One notable player was Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, who is easily becoming one of the NFL’s top 60 newcomers this season. In fact, only two players were named, Chazz Surratt of North Carolina and Micah Parsons of Penn State, two deserving players.
