With the new Cincinnati Bengals defense, Larry Ogunjob has quite an interesting story about how he started playing football.
Asked how his football trip began on Tuesday after the OTA session, the former Cleveland Browns defender said his dive began only for his parents.
Ogunjobi said the following: “In my second year of high school, the only reason I started playing football was because my mom took the Xbox away. I was an obese child, I was 350 pounds, I couldn’t get into a football club … ”
The whole short clip is really worth watching, as Ogunjobi explains in detail how he was originally stuck only in sports because his mother made him. But it quickly became a rewarding journey because he was taking shape and also because he was good at it.
It’s fun to get such offseason insights from players, especially newcomers through free agents or a draft. Bengals hopes Ogunjob’s football journey will continue his success by helping to fill the gap left by Geno Atkins.
