England’s legendary pacifier James Anderson is considered one of the best cricketers. The 38-year-old has broken several records in his prolific career and is close to adding a new page to his prestigious career as he gets to the second and final test of the series against New Zealand.

The veteran bowler has just four gates that cross the cricket list of Indian spin-legend Anil Kumble in the top three gate readers list.
Kumble withdrew 619 gates from his international level in his bag in 132 test races, while Jimmy Anderson had an average of 26.58 gates in his name in 1616 matches.
Muttiah Muralitharan is at the top of the elite list at 800 gates, followed by Australian wizard Shane Warne at 708 gates.
Anderson is also six gates from 1,000 first-class gates.

“1000 wickets feels a lot. Today, I don’t know if it’s possible to get so many first-class gates anymore. With the amount of cricket played, there doesn’t seem to be that longevity in the bowls anymore, and there’s a lot of T20 cricket and anything else going on around the world.” had said.
