NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Fordham University men’s team learned today from 2021-2022 their Atlantic 10 pair from the league office, including Rams ’home and home opponents.
The Atlantic 10 conference will feature an 18-match meeting as the men’s basketball schedule for 2021-2022, the eighth consecutive year in the league. On Thursday, A-10 announced the teams ’schedule pairs for the upcoming season.
For the eighth consecutive year, Fordham’s men’s Atlantic 10 18 match program consists of nine home and nine away matches, with Rams facing five opponents in the home-home series. First year head coach Kyle NeptuneThe team will meet Davidson, Duquesne, George Washington, La Salle and Massachusetts twice during the 2021-2022 season.
In addition to home games with Davidson, Duquesne, George Washington, La Salle and Massachusetts, Rams hosts George Mason, Rhode Island, Richmond and VCU at the historic Rose Hill Gym.
In addition to return trips to Davidson, Duquesne, George Washington, La Sallee and Massachusetts, Fordford will play Atlantic 10 Conference competitions in Dayton, St. Bonaventure, Saint Joseph’s and Saint Louis from 2021-2022.
The A-10 will return to normal after a unique period of 2020-21, when the conference will navigate the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. St. Bonaventure won the regular season and the A-10 championship, and VCU joined it while earning NCAA tournament offers. It was 15th live NCAA tournament and 35th A-10 earned several dances to the big dance.
The full conference program for 2021-22, with dates and times as well as information on national television, will be published later. In the coming season, 126 negotiation games will be held, allowing teams to face each league’s opponent once and five teams twice. The 2022 Atlantic 10 Men’s Basketball Championships will be played March 9-13 and return to Capital One Arena in Washington DC
