Utah Jazz took an early lead in their top seven in the Los Angeles Clippers after Donovan Mitchell broke out in the second half and led Utah to a comeback victory at home in Game 1. With this being the final conference semifinal at the start of the series, the two teams have very little free between games. After playing three-quarters in Salt Lake City, Jazz owns a narrow lead over the Clippers.
As noted earlier, Mitchell became the switch to Utah when the Jazz needed the most All-Star guard as he knocked down the game’s top 45 points to lead his team to victory in the 1st game. Given his history of presenting high scores in the post-season, the Clippers must find a way to slow down Mitchell tonight if they even want this series. On the offensive side, Los Angeles needs a much more effective game for Paul George than he did in his Tuesday night loss. The second effort, which is almost close to the 4-for-17 performance George had played in Game 1, ultimately only makes the Clippers tougher.
