Wisconsin Badgers Football Recruitment: UW Offers Athletic State Tight JT Seagreaves

• 2022 unclassified TE JT Seagreaves (Monroe) Monroe High School received an offer from Märiri on Friday afternoon according to her Twitter account. He currently has a second bid for the state of Illinois and has received interest from Minnesota, Iowa, State of Iowa and North Dakota, among others. He also has several D-II basketball deals.

Not all 6-foot-5 or 6-foot-6 and 220-pound views have been overturned by major recruitment services, but have received a lot of positive shouts while at summer camp. He visited UW or camped there twice last week and set up an official visit over the weekend of June 17-19. Both Evan Flood at 247 Sports and Jon McNamara at Rivals have made predictions for Seagreaves to end up in Badger, so we can be committed to watching his official visit.

If you’ve been following recruiting closely, you’ve probably noticed that there’s been some drama in the tight end position of this cycle. For a long time, Micah Riley-Drucker (Bellevue, Neb.) Was thought to be a favorite to land in one of the top spots in this class, but then he canceled his official visit because the Badgers seemed to cool him down. Then state-run TE Andrew Keller (Waunakee), who has been a fairly strong Iowa skinny, decided to go on an official visit to UW. He worked in front of Paul Chryst and Mickey Turner with Seagreaves, but left without an offer.

So. Now it looks like Seagreaves is on the UW board at a tight end! Let’s look at his tape.

Many of his highlights are in defense, but you can clearly see that he is an excellent athlete. He uses his large frame to shield the ball and has a frame to add even more weight to make him more of a problem on the field. I also watched his basketball highlights (and he also has a good hardwood player!), And that only contributed to the story that he’s a superior athlete. He gets on the rim easily and finishes through touch.

Seagreaves also runs on the track in Monroe, so his speed is not a concern. With this offer in hand, it can be assumed that Seagreaves may be dealing next weekend when he makes his official visit. However, with all of UW’s rigorous recruitment rounds this year, it’s not safe to assume anything here.
