Joe Harris is eyeing a return as the Brooklyn Nets want to take the 3-1 series lead. Bucks

Joe Harris couldn’t hit the water falling from the boat in game 3 on Thursday night.

The Brooklyn Nets sharp shooter was not sharp at all. He made just one of his 11 shots and was 1/7 deep at 3 points in the Nets 86-83 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks. He failed in 36 minutes.

It was unusual for Harris, his teammates and Nets fans to see the teams ’best long-range shooter fight, given that he shot 50 percent off the field during the regular season and 48 percent deep while playing an average of 14.1 points while playing alongside Kevin’s Nets Big 3 . Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving.

Definitely right after, you’re frustrated, especially with the outcome of the game, Harris said on Saturday before game 4 Sunday in Milwaukee. But while you let the dust settle a little, there are a lot of areas to encourage. A lot of the looks I had were the best in the whole series, where only because of the undeniably clean look I have a chance to get space, so it was definitely a frustrating, difficult night, but it was like that on both sides.

As the Nets continue Game 4 Sunday (3pm, ABC), it’s hard to imagine Harris having another equally bad game and that’s good for Brooklyn when they want to take the 3-1 series lead in Game 5 back at Barclays Center.

The former Virginia guard scored 13 points in 5-of-12 shooting in a Nets win in Game 1, and had 19 in 7-of-11 shooting in a Nets blast in Game 2.

I know he was frustrated [in Game 3] but every time Joe shoots, we think it goes in, Nets striker Blake Griffin said. He’s been doing it all season, you’re sure to have some games where you lose some shots. But he has more games where he takes shots.

Joes’ value also goes beyond taking shots. He’s a physical defender, he plays hard, he’s also able to get on the defense and play, so I have a lot of confidence in him.

Nets coach Steve Nash feels the same way.

Joes is a smart guy and an elite shooter, so it happens, Nash said. Everyone has shooting nights. It’s unfortunate that we lost the game … I’m not at all worried about Joe Harris, he’s smart, he’s tough, he’s an amazing shooter, and if he gets the same look for my money from him.

Said Harris: As a shooter, my whole goal is just to find space and rhythm shots.

James Harden loses his third straight game, which is under tight tension after being re-injured 43 seconds into Game 1 and leaving the field, while Jeff Green is questionable on a tight foot.

Things have been great, well advanced, Green said Wednesday. I feel good, it’s been a slow process, but I’m getting better day by day and hopefully maybe game 4, I don’t know. We need to see how I feel in the next few days to get back on the field.
