WICHITA, Kan. (Catch it Kansas) – One of the D2 West Squad star players will be playing purple in State K next year. Shadryon Blanka of St.Francis is a gray shirt for the Wildcats next season, moving from eight-man football to the division.
Shadryon Blanka mainly portrayed the running defender in his versatility in this eight-man All Star game not only in the running game, but also as a threat on the field and in defense. This type of athleticism caught the eye of the football staff of the K-states, who recently signed Blanka as a walker.
I’ve played 8-man throughout my high school career, I’m excited to get to learn from its eleven men and get to work with this great coaching staff, Blanka said.
Blanka said she is looking forward to honing, strengthening, and increasing her skills on the field while learning to read the different types of zones she practiced in this all-star game.
Actually just to have fun with it. Football can be hard to go to practice every day, Blanka said. Colton and I actually came up with this play while sitting on the sidelines discussing with the coaches because they really gave us a chance to open up and see a field where they can’t see it and invite our own plays.
As a gray shirt, Blanka plans to take off the fall semester and enroll at KSU in January.
