Cricket chiefs fear the crowd will be limited to 25 percent of the entire T20 Blast group stage after governments decide to extend Covid-19 restrictions for at least four weeks.
The T20 Blast is the largest source of box office revenue for most counties, and they had hoped that Day 21 of Freedom would allow them an almost full crowd during the final group stages. These hopes have been dashed from the postponement of deregulation at least on July 17 and the end of the Blast group phase on July 18.
