Five-star defensive end recruitment JT Tuimoloau will make four campus visits over the next 14 days. He has already visited Washington, but will also visit USC, Ohio, Oregon, and Alabama (in that order). I spoke with Brandon Huffman, a national recruitment specialist at 247Sports, and spoke about Tuimolo.

Washingtons Corner:
I think it’s always been one of those situations where Washington has a hometown advantage. In terms of schedule, it was a logistical thing. Washington got a visit because it didn’t require a trip. I think Washington is a lot of a competitor here. I think the longer they hold on, the better chances they have.
In the corner of Oregons:
They offer something Washington can’t find a little close to home, but a 4.5-hour drive from Seattle to Eugene – not too much. It is feasible. It’s far enough away that Mom and Dad don’t show up unannounced, but if they have to get there, they can be there too, no pressure to be the number one player in the hometown school, sometimes the pressure becomes so big bigger. Oregon offers a short trip to Eugene and Seattle.
On the significance of the Pac-12 landing in Tuimoloau:
If one of these three (Pac-12) schools was able to keep him suddenly, the story will start to change and it will get you a little more talent on the field. Maybe you don’t need an extension to 12 teams to get into the playoffs.
