The Sports and Leisure Alliance has announced an exclusive multi-year partnership with live video streaming platform Joymo.
The platform, selected in Cutting Edge Sport magazine along with PT SportSuit at the Sport Industry Awards 2021, will become the official streaming partner for sports and leisure federations and the primary sports content management platform.
With the transaction, Joymo will work with members of the Sport and Recreation Alliance to achieve its direct consumer streaming goal. The Alliance currently represents 320 organizations as the representative body of national sports organizations, including small expert organizations such as the FA and RFU, such as the Angling Trust and the British Tenpin Bowling Association.
Alliance members have access to platforms built for athletes, teams and sports organizers to broadcast their content directly to fans who can watch live or on demand – and sell pay-per-view access to supporters per game, competition or event, or offer a longer-term season ticket, and the revenue is returned directly to the content producers.
