CJ Anderson knows all about playing in championships. He is also expected to compete with them in his next attempt.
The retired kickback manager announced via Twitter on Tuesday that he has been hired as head coach at Monte Vista High School in Danville, California. The school’s football program has long been among the best in East Bay, Northern California, and thus Anderson would have known Berkeley well.
30-year-old Anderson played in three Super Bowls during his seven-year career and won his second appearance at the Denver Broncos after the 2015 season. He joined Rams late in the 2018 campaign and showed a lead role during their Super Bowl run. The 2014 Pro Bowler also had pledges with the Panthers, Raiders and Lions before retiring last September. He spent the fall as a volunteer assistant in California, where he played for two years.
Monte Vista recently went undefeated in a shortened spring season that had been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
