NUTTER FORT, W.Va. (WV News) Cassie Jo Cricket Phillips, 64, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, after a prolonged illness.
He was born in Clarksburg, WV, on March 15, 1957.
Ahead of his death was his father, Donald Wayne Phillips; stepfather, Raymond Paul Ruckman; brother Nelse Phillips; nephews Jeremy Phillips and Raymond Bub Ruckman; and mother-in-law, Deborah Ruckman.
Cassie leaves behind her loving mother, Eleanor Emo Wamsley; brothers, Donald Lee Phillips and wife Suzette, Harry Phillips and wife Debra, Jeff Phillips and wife Sandy, Raymond Ruckman and wife Eliza, James JO Ruckman, and Bobby Ruckman and wife Beulah; sister Debra Blackwell and husband Shannon; numerous nephews, nephews and cousins; as well as his beloved dog Cocoa.
Cricket had graduated from South Harrison High School in 1976. He worked at Burger King, Heartland Nursing Home, and several other companies. He loved collecting Coca Cola and Mickey Mouse items. He especially enjoyed camping at Big Bear and cruising. He was a Christian by faith and loved to listen to Bible verses, especially the sermons given by Joel Osteen. Cricket never met a guest, and got joy by playing jokes for everyone. Family and many good friends miss him unfortunately.
Family and friends can call at Amos Carvell’s funeral, 201 Edter Street, Nutter Fort, on Friday, June 25, 2021 from 12 to 7 p.m., where the service will be held at 7 p.m. under the direction of Pastor James Malick.
According to his wishes, cricket will be destroyed after service.
