Men’s tennis announces two signs for the 2021-22 season

NEW ORLEANS The New Orleans Privateers men’s tennis team has announced two new contracts for the upcoming season 2021-22 at David Tesic and Dhruv Tangr. Tesic moves from Louisville, while Tangri becomes a real freshman for Privateers.

A German-born Tesic has put together a solid resume for his junior career. He played in German singles and doubles under the age of 18 and reached the top 10 national ranking in his age group. Tesic made the final in the ITF 5th Class tournament in Kolobrzeg, Poland. He also made the semi-finals in a similar class tournament in Germany.

Tesic also garnered wins against the top three opponents in its age group among German citizens. He has also played club tennis at Gladbacher HTC.

Tangri joins Privateers from India, where he has amassed more than 50 domestic singles and doubles. Among their victories was a singles match for those under 16 years of age. His highest junior ITF ranking was 310, achieved in March 2021.

Tangri is consistently ranked among the top ten in India, and has reached the top position # 3. He was also the winner of the 2019 Under-18s Series.
