FSU football coaches are in the midst of major recruitment battles in the 2022 class and beyond. One of the challenges for Mike Norvell and his coaching staff is to establish roots in South Florida, home to a bunch of blue-chip players.
It’s an area where Jimbo Fisher rode to get Noles back in sight after years of Bobby Bowden, and it looks like Mike Norvell would be on the same path.
Miami fans armed when I sent Marvin Jones Jr. of the old recruiting FSU to throw a U during a recent visit to Tallahassee.
The comments were unclassified, as one might imagine coming from Miami fans. I think most don’t think they have a real shot at landing Jones Jr.
However, one blue-chip player they are desperately driving is a linebacker Wesley bissainthe. Bissainthe is from Miami High School (home of FSU’s magnificent Dalvin Cook) and will be visiting Noles on his official visit this weekend.
Among many things, a recruiter takes pictures in FSU uniforms while on campus and takes campus trips. However, the picture became available on Twitter, where Bissainthe threw U, just like Marvin Jones Jr. a few days ago.

What does it mean?
I’m sure Miami fans claim that FSU coaches asked him to pose in their photos. If that’s true, Bissainth still has a chance not to do so, right? Whether or not the FSU coaches have asked these players to hit poses, I think it’s a great move.
Not only does it help build excitement between the competition, it also gives the impression that FSU is a cool place to be with South Florida players again. Most people following recruitment expect Bissainthe to commit to Miami if he doesn’t choose Noles.
That would be a huge win on the recruitment path for Mike Norvell and the coaches. Noles already has one of the most underrated large receivers in South Florida, committed to Devaughn Mortimer. They are working hard for the former FSU, which is committed to Nyjalik Kelly, who is a teammate with Mortimer.
Bissainthe could have just done posing for fun? However, he is one of the main targets of the recruitment committee and we will take every possible advantage against the competition.
