Former Australian cricket Shane Warne has said cricket boards should not take into account players who deserve international matches without the possibility of choosing a luxury Indian Premier League (IPL) over national duty.
In his view, players who focus on international cricket in the Indian Premier League should not be considered when choosing cricket boards. This is a long-standing debate that has once again emerged.
Shane Warne, who is also the current coach of the Rajasthan Royals, suggested he would not oppose players acquiring huge teams in the IPL. Shane Warne argued that free hands have long given them that most players choose money instead of representing the country.

Shane Warne said in the podcast Road to Ashes, “I’m not yelling at players for making money, it’s fantastic. If they want to take the money, let them take it. But if you want to play cricket in your country and choose the IPL, then you might not want to pick those guys, because that’s what happens, people rest and forget about test races and long to represent your country to go play for money. ”
Shane Warne further said that lone Test cricket offers players a real opportunity to test themselves. He revealed that the decision to play in the IPL should be made at the expense of this opportunity. He further explained the importance of cricket in a test competition and how players get a chance to test themselves.
“It’s pretty hard, you know if someone says there’s 3 million bucks here or go somewhere and be away from your family for six weeks, it’s a very easy decision to take that money. But if you value yourself as cricket and want to test yourself against the best, there’s only one place to do it and it’s international cricket, especially Test cricket.If you want to choose money, it’s great, no worries, but you may have to wait a few test races and you might count a few runs no matter how good you are because there is always someone who can replace you “- Shane Warne added
