Ivan Perisic has received a positive result for Covid-19, the Croatian Football Association announced on Saturday night.
The Internazionale pier scored a goal 3-1 beat Scotland on Tuesday, securing a place among the last 16 in England’s second place in Group D.
According to the Croatian Football Association, the test was negative for all other players, staff and members of the delegation. A statement from the CFF website said: The Croatian Football Association received the results of regular testing for the Sars-CoV-2 virus on Saturday night, which showed that player Ivan Perisic has tested a positive new coronavirus.
The medical staff isolated Ivan from other members of the national team and immediately and thoroughly informed the competent epidemiological authorities and provided evidence of compliance with all necessary measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
Perisic spends 10 days in independence and during that time does not participate in the matches of the Croatian national team. All other players, staff and members of the delegation were negative.
The national team will travel from Pula on Sunday 27 June on a charter flight to Copenhagen, where it will play the UEFA EURO 2020 16-match against Spain on Monday.
