2021-22 U16 Female Developing Players Program Group Named

Cricket Victoria has reinforced her team in the women’s under-16 rising player program.

Players will be split into Vic Metro and Vic Country teams and they will start training in August.

Sessions are held at the CitiPower Center, MCG and regional areas, and Cricket Victorias High Performance coaching staff leads the program with the support of existing players.

Rising players receive expert guidance on acquiring and improving skills, strength and fitness, and nutrition.

The program culminates with the Vic Metro and Vic Country teams representing the state at the January Canberra National Championships.

This is the first step in our female ascendant program and an important landmark for future young players, Cricket Victorias Women’s Ascendant Program Director Duncan Harrison said.

Theyll get the first taste of practicing in a high performance environment and learning already from professional players.

The opportunity then to represent the state in national championships offers a great reward for their hard work, and based on the ability of these teams, they expected competition from places fierce.
