Six wolves were invited to the USA Hockey Summer Showcase

COLORADO JOUSET, Colo. – Six members of the University of Michigan hockey team have been invited to the USA Hockey Summer Showcase, USA Hockey announced Monday (June 28).
Rising second-year students Matty Beniers, Thomas Bordeleau and Jacob Truscott together with future first courses Dylan Duke, Luke Hughes and Mackie Samoskevich are among the 44 players invited on the 24th-31st. for the Showcase event at the U.S. Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Mich.
The showcase also includes teams from Finland and Sweden, and serves as an evaluation for the junior world championships. There will be 11 streaming games over eight days HockeyTV.com.
Beniers appear to be making their second straight World Junior team after winning gold in January alongside Wolverines Cam York (2020-21) and Brendan Brisson. Beniers increased its medal count in June with a bronze medal with the US at the Latvian World Championships.
